Founded by Lei, Candleight is a labor of love that began as a way to combat the boredom and frustration that came with being diagnosed with cancer in 2021.
As she navigated the challenges of treatment, surgeries, and recovery, she discovered that creating homemade scented candles became a therapeutic outlet of her emotions. The process of mixing fragrances, melting wax, and watching the candle come to life brought a sense of calm and purpose.
After initial setbacks and a few failed attempts, she persevered and and eventually found her footing. She started selling her candles at local farmers'”markets, where the response were overwhelmingly positive. Encouraged by the support, Candleight was officially born.
